Do you want to increase the overall efficiency of your audit function but are unsure where to begin. Many audit functions are rightly under pressure from both the Board and CEO to increase their efficiency to either allow costs to be reduced or greater assurance to be given with the same budget. However, functional leaders often struggle to achieve breakthrough efficiency gains as we get lost in a mix of process improvement initiatives which often fail to deliver the efficiency gains expected. Successful and sustainable efficiency improvement requires a holistic approach, not just a focus on systems and process change work (including the latest trend to agile audit) but consideration of other aspects of functional change such as operating model optimisation and management operating framework design and associated training.
This session will be particularly relevant for Chief Audit Executives, Directors and Head of Audit and Functional operations leads who are looking to engage with their executive and board on increasing the value for money their function brings to the organisation.
Our speaker is Jonathan Chapman who will be talking about his experience of successful internal audit efficiency programs. Jonathan operated as Internal Audit Chief Operating Officer at Aviva and Lloyds Banking Group and more recently has been advising Internal Audit Executives on successful functional change. He was shortlisted in the 2018 Risk and Audit Inspirational Leader awards.
