As a great milestone of the EU Green Deal project, the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) was recently implemented to reach climate neutral economy till 2030. The European Financial Reporting Group (EFRAG) has prepared European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) with precise reporting requirements regarding environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. The new sustainability report is also linked to the EU Taxonomy Regulative 2020, which includes six environmental goals, and the new EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), leading to increased sustainability reporting requirements along the whole value chain of the firm.
